Robyn Rihanna Fenty, often known as Rihanna by the Barbadians is a songwriter and singer. Her most popular songs include Pon de Replay, SOS Umbrella, and Take a Bow. An extremely successful performer in her prime youth she has already sold more than 140 million records and 41 million songs across the globe, becoming one of the most successful artists of all time. Born in Barbados, she grew up to love reggae and started singing as a child. As a way to get away from the tensions within her family, as well as her parents' constant fights, she started singing. She formed a musical group when she was still in high school and was able to have an audition with music producer Evan Rodgers who was highly impressed with the talent of the young girl. Rihanna moved into New York so that she could begin her singing career. Rihanna became a huge hit when her debut album hit the market.
