Awkwafina

Awkwafina was an American actress and musician. She started by releasing humorous, cleverly written lyrics in rap that dealt with topics like race as well as sexual orientation. Later, she broadened her fan base to Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical journey as a trumpet player. Born in Forest Hills Queens, she was the child of Chinese immigrants as well as Koreans. Following her Jazz and classical training She delved into hip-hop as a teen. In the college years, she remained focused on her studies and took up a degree in women's studies as well as journalism. While she was for a brief amount of time in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also available. Her focus shifted towards music after she graduated. The track My Vag, a response track to the Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity on the Internet in 2012. It eventually made it in her debut album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. On the album, there was other hits that went viral, including Queef (body-positive) and NYC Bitche$. The track that was second on the album linked to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, published in 2015. This was a different initiative. The singer decided to make acting careers following the completion of her previous two endeavors, author and musician. Alongside early TV shows like Girl Code and Tawk she was also featured in movies such as Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. In the year 2018, her breakout roles included Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. This June, she released her new EP "In Fina We Trust".
